# Webhooks

> Send site events to an HTTPS destination and inspect deliveries in Studio.

Webhooks notify another service when selected site activity occurs. Use Studio for setup and delivery monitoring. Use the [CLI webhook reference](/docs/cli/webhooks.md) for event names, payload variables, and signature verification.

## Add a webhook

Open **Settings** → **Advanced settings** → **Webhooks**, then add a webhook.

**1. Choose the event**

Select the site activity that should create a delivery. Event-specific filters appear with the event.

**2. Set the destination**

Enter the HTTPS endpoint that should receive the request.

**3. Choose the payload**

Send the complete Fimo event, or create a custom JSON body from the variables Studio shows for that event.

**4. Test the delivery**

Send a test, then inspect its status and response before depending on the webhook.

## Add destination headers

Add the headers required by the destination. Use a [site secret](/docs/studio/secrets.md) for private values instead of placing them directly in a payload.

Fimo signs webhook requests by default. Save the signing secret when Studio shows it, then follow [Verify signed requests](/docs/cli/webhooks.md#verify-signed-requests) in your receiver.

## Inspect deliveries

Open a webhook to see recent delivery attempts and their status. A failed delivery may become available for manual retry after automatic retries finish.

> [!TIP]
>
> A successful test confirms the configured destination accepted the example request. Test again after changing the URL,
> headers, event, or payload.
